It’s like the poor kid who grew up poor, and when he makes money he’s absolutely terrified to spend any of this so he just keep hoarding and hoarding, and he still lives on that $30,000 a year income that he had when he first got out of college or his first job. (…) And even though now he’s making a million dollars a year, he’s still living like he’s making 30, and that way he can say: “I’ll never be poor again! Nobody’ll ever take that money away from me!”

That’s my exact feeling about Apple’s $66,000,000,000. They do know that bad luck can strike at any moment, even at the pinnacle of their fame.

Basically, they’re now bankrupt-proof.
