TextMate 2.0 Public Alpha Coming This Winter

Remember what I said back in May? Let me quote myself:

On a final note, while TextMate 2 was touted the Duke Nukem Forever of text editors, did you know the latter will be released in June?

There’s hope.

Yep, this day has come. Michael Sheets, who I do not know, posted today on Macromates’ blog and announced that the public alpha of TextMate 2.0 will be available this year before Christmas.

And I bought a white iPad 2 today. I couldn’t be happier.
