Windows 8 Metro Style Logo

While I really do appreciate the effort and the motivation behind this refresh, I also believe this logo lacks the quality and the polish we are right to expect from Microsoft.

The window’s perspective strikes me as weird, and the plainness of the text (just good old Segoe font) shows a lack of focus on details.

Second addendum: I realize I might have been too harsh on the matter. I find it good Microsoft decided to refresh the Windows logo. Also, the execution is consistent with the Metro ecosystem. In the end, it’s a great logo, a much better logo; it could have been even better, that’s all.
