They seem to be disliked by the Mac community, but I find them spot on. Lots of my friends, or people I know are exactly like the people in these ads. My grandfather even bought a “Pineapple” netbook thinking it was a Mac…

It’s still a switcher-based game for Apple. In order to increase Mac sales, they have to get people to switch from Windows. Ads like these (if not necessarily these exact ads) are integral to the game plan.
