Jony Ive’s new look for iOS 7: black, white, and flat all over

9TO5Mac claims to have insider information of this year’s installment of iOS.

I sure hope they mean “grayscale” instead of “black and white”. Some of the reported changes are just absurd:

while the Game Center logo loses the green felt and chess pieces.

Wut? We are talking about app icons, then the word “logo” pops up. The icon has no felt, and the chess piece – singular – is an icon, not a photorealistic part of the icon.

Well, I guess we’ll see. I think the report is kind of flawed and the redesign is nothing more than harmonization of the UI around the Music and Podcasts redesigns we’ve seen this year.
